Northeastern University's Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) prepares students to design, construct, and manage infrastructure such as buildings, bridges, tunnels, highways, airports, dams, and water systems. The curriculum covers engineering sciences, design, sustainability, and technical electives across five specialized areas. The program is ABET-accredited and emphasizes both rigorous coursework and experiential learning through Northeastern’s signature cooperative education (co-op) program, providing up to 18 months of full-time, degree-related work experience integrated with academic studies. Students complete a major, semester-long capstone design project in their senior year, addressing real-world civil engineering challenges. The PlusOne accelerated master’s program is available to high-achieving undergraduates.
