The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering at Northeastern University's College of Engineering prepares students to design and analyze complex systems involving people, materials, equipment, and processes. The curriculum includes foundational engineering courses such as work design, human-machine systems, statistics, simulation modeling, database systems, and quality assurance. The program emphasizes both traditional and contemporary areas such as logistics, supply chain management, operations research, and facilities planning. Students integrate knowledge through a two-semester capstone design project and gain hands-on experience in collaborative lab and co-op (internship) experiences. Graduates are qualified for roles in industries ranging from manufacturing to healthcare, finance, government, and consulting. The program is ABET accredited.
