The BSME program at Northeastern University's College of Engineering provides comprehensive training in the fundamentals and applications of mechanical engineering, focusing on applied mechanics, thermofluids engineering, materials science, and controls. Students gain practical, hands-on experience through a two-semester capstone design project and multiple cooperative education (co-op) opportunities with industry partners. The curriculum develops both analytical and creative design skills, preparing graduates for diverse careers in areas such as energy conversion, manufacturing, design, environmental systems, robotics, and biomedical devices. The program is ABET-accredited.
