The BA in History, Culture, and Law is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program designed to help students understand how legal systems are shaped by cultural norms and historical developments. The curriculum integrates principles of historical analysis, jurisprudence, and critical legal studies. Students select one of several culturally-focused concentrations (e.g., Africana studies, Asian studies, gender and sexuality). The program prepares students for careers in law, policy, government, or social action by fostering interdisciplinary analysis, appreciation for cultural diversity, and an understanding of the impact of legal processes on society.
