The Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) program at Northeastern University is an interdisciplinary undergraduate degree that equips students with analytic tools from all three disciplines, fostering cross-disciplinary connections. The curriculum emphasizes both breadth—through introductory courses in economic justice, social and political philosophy, micro/macro economics, international relations, American government, and comparative politics—and depth, with upper-level electives and required concentrations such as Law and Justice, International Political Economy, Public and Economic Policy, Environment and Energy Policy, Logic and Game Theory, and Political Philosophy. Experiential learning is embedded via co-op, research, study abroad, or service-learning, culminating in a capstone integrating all three areas to tackle real-world problems. Graduates pursue diverse careers in corporations, finance, public policy, NGOs, consultancy, and government.
