The Master of Engineering (Computer Engineering) at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences, University of Wollongong, is designed to provide graduate engineers with advanced discipline-specific knowledge and technical skills focused on the design and development of hardware and embedded systems—including sensors, robotics, smartphones, medical equipment, and multimedia technology. The program develops specialist skills, enabling graduates to lead innovative change in the sector. Core subjects include Professional Communications and Engineering Workplace Practice, Innovation and Design, Advanced Laboratory, and Research Methods. The Computer Engineering major covers Advanced Signals and Systems, Image and Video Processing, and Future Internet Architectures and Communication Protocols, alongside electives in electrical, mechanical or other engineering subjects, culminating in an advanced project. Students also gain expertise in strategic and project management and applied research.
