The Master of Bioscience Enterprise (MBioEnt) at The University of Auckland is an interdisciplinary graduate programme blending science, business, and law. It equips scientists with practical and theoretical skills in commercialisation, intellectual property, valuation, and product development, preparing graduates for careers in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and related industries. The course is jointly taught by the School of Biological Sciences, the Business School, and the Faculty of Law. A defining feature is a six-month industry internship, enabling students to complete a substantial research project within a real-world biotechnology or life sciences firm, directly contributing to their master's thesis.
