The Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc) at the University of Auckland’s Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences is an interdisciplinary undergraduate degree focused on the biological, social, cultural, and behavioural determinants of health and illness. It provides students with a deep understanding of public health, population health, and the structures and policies governing healthcare in New Zealand. The programme offers pathways to clinical degrees in Medicine and Pharmacy and allows students to specialize through elective courses and practical placements in their final year. Strong links with public, private, and community health sectors provide excellent employment prospects for graduates.
