The MS in Soil Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences is a comprehensive graduate program emphasizing instruction, research, and leadership in soil chemistry, physics, biology, and pedology for sustainable land use. Students will develop expertise in soil resource management for natural, agricultural, and urban ecosystems, address environmental challenges from climate change, water scarcity, and food production, and contribute to local, national, and global soil sustainability.
