The full-time Master of Social Work (MSW) program at the University of Wisconsin–Madison Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The curriculum prepares students for advanced practice through a generalist classroom foundation in the first year, followed by specialized advanced generalist training with a choice among focus areas: Aging, Health, Mental Health, and Child, Youth, and Family Welfare. The program emphasizes developing culturally competent practitioners who champion social and economic justice and provides demanding academics combined with hands-on field experiences. Dual degree options are available with other professional schools, and all students are trained in environments emphasizing inclusivity, ethics, and leadership.
