The Biological Systems Engineering (BSE) program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, under the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, applies engineering principles to natural systems and machinery design, addressing challenges in food, water, energy, and sustainability. The ABET-accredited program offers flexible study options in specialized tracks or a customizable curriculum. Students benefit from a high faculty-to-student ratio, hands-on coursework, individualized advising, and access to resources in both the College of Engineering and the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. Graduates are prepared for engineering careers in industry, government, or research, and for graduate school.
