The Bachelor of Science in Journalism (JBS) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Journalism & Mass Communication provides undergraduates with a rigorous liberal arts foundation combined with professional training in mass communication. Students choose between two tracks: Reporting and Multimedia Journalism, or Strategic Communication. The program is designed to educate students for careers in news reporting, public relations, advertising, marketing communication, digital and social media, publishing, and related fields. Coursework blends media law, ethics, media institutions, and hands-on skills. Graduates become effective communicators, critical thinkers, and ethical information producers, well equipped for evolving media professions.
