The Master of Global Policy Studies (MGPS) at the LBJ School of Public Affairs, University of Texas at Austin, is a multidisciplinary program designed to equip students with the analytical tools, professional skills, and specialized knowledge necessary to address global challenges and lead in international policy roles. The curriculum includes a rigorous interdisciplinary core, customizable specializations (e.g., international development, global governance, international energy & environment, regional international policy), a 300-hour internship, an applied policy research project, and a global crisis simulation. All students must demonstrate advanced-intermediate proficiency in a foreign language.
