The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering at UT Austin’s Cockrell School of Engineering is a rigorous interdisciplinary undergraduate program. It combines engineering fundamentals with the biological sciences to equip students with the skills needed to develop next-generation solutions for complex medical and healthcare problems. The curriculum is hands-on from the first year, with dedicated design labs and tracks in Biomedical Imaging and Instrumentation, Cellular and Biomolecular Engineering, Computational Biomedical Engineering, and Molecular, Cellular and Tissue Biomechanics. Students may also pursue an integrated Bachelor/Master’s option.
