The Bachelor of Science in Hydrology and Water Resources at the Jackson School of Geosciences teaches the physical and chemical principles underlying Earth's water cycle. Students gain skills in quantitative reasoning, computational literacy, geospatial tools, and data management related to hydrology. The program includes foundational courses in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, along with advanced hydrology-specific courses. All majors complete a three-week immersive field course focused on hydrology research and can participate in faculty-led research on topics like coral reef preservation, flood forecasting, and drought response. Graduates are prepared for careers in water resources management, conservation, and geoscience research.
