The joint-degree program, offered by Yale School of Architecture and Yale School of Management, is designed for students who wish to integrate design, urban development, and management disciplines for careers in government or the private sector. Students complete all requirements for both the professional Master of Architecture and the MBA, normally in four years, which is one year less than pursuing both programs separately. The program begins with two years at Yale School of Architecture, followed by one year at Yale School of Management focusing on the MBA core curriculum, and concludes with a final year split between both schools. The program is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB), and graduates are awarded both degrees upon fulfilling all requirements.
