The Executive Master of Environmental Management (EMEM) at Yale School of the Environment is an accelerated, 10-month residential program for experienced professionals with significant leadership or management experience—typically at least 10 years—in environmental or closely related fields. The program is designed to deepen expertise, expand leadership capacity, and develop skills for enacting effective and equitable environmental solutions. The curriculum is highly individualized, consisting of at least 6 credits for a capstone experience and a minimum of 24 elective credits drawn from across Yale’s graduate and professional schools, allowing students to tailor their studies to particular professional interests. Participants join an international cohort, benefit from Yale’s extensive network, and are positioned for career advancement in senior-level environmental roles.
