The Jackson School’s Master in Public Policy in Global Affairs program is a rigorous, flexible, interdisciplinary graduate degree designed to prepare students for global leadership and service. The curriculum combines foundational coursework (in economics, applied methods of analysis, history, and comparative politics) with individualized study and access to courses across Yale’s graduate and professional schools. Students must complete 16 credits including four core courses, show proficiency in a modern language (L4), participate in a leadership and ethics workshop, and complete a supervised summer experience. The program places strong emphasis on skill development for analysis, communication, leadership, and professional policy writing. Graduates enter diverse fields including policy analysis, international development, environmental policy, human rights, and international finance.
