The Master of Science (MS) in Biostatistics at the Yale School of Public Health is a rigorous two-year graduate program focused on training in clinical trials, epidemiologic methodology, implementation science, statistical genetics, data science, and mathematical modeling of infectious diseases. Students choose from three pathways: Standard Biostatistics, Implementation and Prevention Science Methods, or Data Science. The program emphasizes advanced quantitative skills from the outset, including substantial hands-on experience through internships, capstone projects, and optional master's thesis research. Graduates are equipped for roles as professional statisticians in biomedical research, the pharmaceutical industry, public health, and technology sectors. The program accommodates both full-time and part-time study.
