The Yale School of Medicine Master of Health Science (MHS) is a rigorous, two-year graduate program designed primarily for individuals with a terminal professional degree in medical care or biomedical sciences, as well as residents, fellows, and faculty at the Yale School of Medicine. The program was restructured in 2024 to offer four focused tracks: Advanced Health Sciences Research, Clinical Informatics & Data Science, Clinical Investigation, and Medical Education. The curriculum emphasizes tailored coursework (30+ credits), seminars, mentorship, and the completion of an original thesis or research publication. The program cultivates advanced research skills, interdisciplinary networking, and leadership in academic medicine.
