The Gender and Sexuality Health Justice concentration at Yale School of Nursing is designed to educate current MSN students about health disparities facing LGBTQI+ populations, viewed through racial and economic justice perspectives. The curriculum covers LGBTQI+ primary care, gender affirming surgery and hormonal care, substance use, trauma-informed care, HIV, global equity, reproductive care, disability and intersex health, as well as clinical assessment in LGBTQI+ communities. It requires enrollment in designated courses: Introduction to Health Disparities (NURS 6180), Specialized Primary Care (NURS 6200), and a clinical conference (NURS 6202). Students accepted to the concentration must also matriculate in one of Yale's MSN nurse practitioner or nurse-midwifery specialties.
