The Master of Climate Solutions (MCS) at the University of California, Berkeley’s Rausser College of Natural Resources is an accelerated, 10-month graduate program (first intake Fall 2025) designed to prepare professionals for immediate impact in fields addressing climate adaptation and mitigation. The program emphasizes a multidisciplinary foundation, integrating coursework from Environmental Science, Policy and Management, Agricultural and Resource Economics, Energy and Resources Group, and the Haas School of Business. Students will learn to drive the implementation of practical climate solutions and are required to complete a capstone project with real-world partners. Three customizable tracks are available: climate strategy and management, climate policy and politics, and a self-designed focus. The MCS can also be pursued jointly with an MBA for students seeking advanced leadership roles in climate-related sectors.
