UC Berkeley's Online MPH in Food, Nutrition and Population Health is designed to train current and future leaders in food and nutrition research, policy, and practice. The program focuses on identifying and addressing emerging public health nutrition challenges, creating resilient and equitable food systems, and promoting systems-level change in the context of global population health. The curriculum combines nutritional assessment, policy and program development, and effective leadership skills tailored for a global and interdisciplinary student body. Students engage in courses such as nutrition assessment, policy and program evaluation, maternal and child health, and global nutrition issues. The program is flexible (90% online, requiring two brief campus visits over 27 months) and targets working professionals worldwide. Graduates are prepared to lead and innovate in diverse settings, from government and NGOs to international health agencies.
