As of August 2024, the program previously known as the Bachelor of Arts in Operations Research and Management Science (ORMS) at UC Berkeley's College of Letters and Science has been renamed the Bachelor of Arts in Analytics. This major focuses on equipping students with advanced quantitative, computational, and data-driven decision-making skills. The curriculum covers optimization, stochastic modeling, machine learning, and data analytics, along with new courses in Python for Analytics and database design. Students can select from four areas of concentration: Analytics in Economic Systems, Analytics in Industrial and Business Systems, Analytics in Societal Systems, and Algorithmic and Decision Analytics.
