The Bachelor of Science in Society and Environment at Rausser College of Natural Resources, UC Berkeley, is designed to introduce students to the primary approaches and theories in environmental social sciences. The curriculum focuses on how social science tools and theories can be applied to understand and address social and environmental problems. Students choose one of three concentrations at the upper-division level: US Environmental Policy and Management, Global Environmental Politics, or Justice and Sustainability. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in environmental consulting, policy, planning, education, law, and non-profit environmental organizations, and are also well qualified for further graduate study such as law or policy school.
