The UCLA Fielding MPH in Environmental Health Sciences is a professional degree emphasizing public health practice and the application of environmental health science to improve population health. Students learn how environmental stressors in ambient, built, and occupational settings affect health, and how to use scientific evidence to drive policy and practice changes. The curriculum includes EHS foundations, toxicology, risk assessment, policy analysis, public health core courses, electives, a required chemistry waiver exam (or EHS 101 if not passed), the EHS seminar, and a required internship/applied practice experience; students may select an optional Industrial Hygiene focus with additional requirements.
