UCLA Law’s International & Comparative Law specialization allows LL.M. students to build depth across diverse transnational subjects with access to leading faculty, clinics, and experiential opportunities. Students must complete a defined set of courses and maintain at least a B- (2.7) average in specialization courses. The curriculum includes core Group A offerings such as Public International Law, International Business Transactions, International Trade Law, International Human Rights Law, Comparative Constitutional Law, Comparative Law, International Criminal Law, International Environmental Law & Policy, and Global Perspectives on Criminal Procedure, complemented by a broad Group B list spanning areas like International Dispute Resolution, National Security Law, Immigration Law, EU Law, Chinese Law, International Commercial Arbitration, and multiple human rights and climate clinics. The International & Comparative Law Program also supports externships with NGOs, international organizations, and governments, individualized career counseling, and engagement through events, workshops, and competitions.
