UCLA School of Law offers an LL.M. specialization in Business Law with four tracks that allow students to build deep expertise through curated course sets and required core classes. All Business Law specialization tracks require maintaining at least a B- (2.7) average in specialization courses. Due to scheduling and faculty availability, not every listed course is offered every year, but sufficient courses are available to meet specialization requirements. Tracks include: (1) Business Law Track (broad corporate/transactional focus); (2) Securities Regulation Track (core securities law plus advanced corporate options); (3) Tax Track (U.S. federal income tax foundations and business taxation with advanced options); and a fourth Business specialization track as part of the overall Business specialization options. The LL.M. degree itself is a full-time, one-year graduate program; students generally complete 22 units over two semesters, beginning with a short summer course for those without a prior U.S. law degree.
