UCLA Luskin’s Master of Public Policy is a two-year graduate program focused on problem identification, policy analysis, and policy influence. It equips students with a diversified toolkit of quantitative and analytical skills, core training in economics, politics, statistics, management, and applied policy methods, and the flexibility to design a specialization, including interdisciplinary certificates such as Global Public Affairs and Leaders in Sustainability. Joint degree options are available with Law, Management, Medicine, Public Health, and Social Welfare, leveraging UCLA’s broader resources for leadership in policymaking across government, nonprofit, and private sectors. Core curriculum commonly includes courses such as Principles of Microeconomic Theory I–II, American Political Institutions and Processes, Statistical Methods of Policy Analysis I–II, Political Economy of Policy Adoption and Implementation, Management in the 21st Century, and Methods of Policy Analysis, alongside electives.
