UCLA’s interdisciplinary Physics and Biology in Medicine (PBM) graduate program—housed in the David Geffen School of Medicine and affiliated with the Division of Physical Sciences—trains students in the physics, engineering, mathematics, and biology underlying modern radiological imaging and radiation therapy. The program offers CAMPEP-accredited training tracks in Therapeutic Medical Physics, Medical Imaging, and Molecular Imaging & Theranostics, preparing graduates for clinical residencies and research careers; a non‑accredited Molecular & Cellular Oncology track is also available. Coursework spans MRI physics, molecular imaging, biomedical signal and image processing, computer vision in medical imaging, and supervised PB MED 596 research, with extensive access to UCLA Health clinical and research facilities.
