UCLA’s BA in Education and Social Transformation equips students to analyze education within social, cultural, historical, and political contexts and to lead change for equity and justice. The curriculum is interdisciplinary (education, social sciences, humanities) with a strong component in educational research and evaluation and extensive community engagement. Students develop abilities to interpret social data and research, understand human development and learning, engage respectfully with community partners, and design and implement solutions to specific educational problems.
