UCLA’s Undergraduate Neuroscience Interdepartmental Program (within the Division of Life Sciences) offers an interdisciplinary B.S. that studies the brain and nervous system from molecular and cellular levels to systems and behavior. Faculty are drawn from biology, psychology, biochemistry, mathematics, and engineering. The major is designated a capstone major: students complete a project-based culminating experience via independent research under a faculty mentor, a research laboratory course plus an elective, or approved neuroscience outreach (DOPA-Team or Project Brainstorm). All upper-division requirements must be taken for letter grades with a minimum 2.0 GPA in the major.
