UCLA’s BA in Business Economics provides a business‑oriented study of economics guided by the rigorous logic and integrative perspective of economics rather than a traditional undergraduate business school curriculum. It prepares students for graduate study in business, economics, and law, and requires specific coursework from the Economics Department and the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Learning objectives include micro- and macroeconomic analysis, application of accounting principles to business problems, data acquisition and statistical analysis, and problem framing for organizations and markets. UCLA College (the home of the major) is comprised of five divisions—Humanities, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, and Undergraduate Education; Business Economics is housed in the Social Sciences division.
