The Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Arts at Penn State’s College of Arts and Architecture is a multidisciplinary, student-designed degree that allows students to create a personalized program across two or more arts disciplines, and incorporate studies from outside the arts when relevant. This unique, flexible program is designed for students looking to pursue individualized vocational, scholarly, or creative interests that cross traditional boundaries. Students work closely with advisers to design their coursework, participate in internships, research projects, and independent study, and graduate prepared to work as innovative artists and creators in a rapidly evolving interdisciplinary arts landscape. The curriculum emphasizes both theoretical and practical knowledge, hands-on creative work, ethical and cultural understanding, and the ability to synthesize and present complex multidisciplinary art and design projects.
