The BFASA at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign offers students the flexibility to design their own course of study by selecting one of eight concentrations. The curriculum begins with foundational studio courses exploring traditional and digital media and moves to intermediate and advanced courses that reflect rapidly changing contemporary art practices. Students have access to individual studio spaces and a communal studio environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and critical engagement. The program culminates with a thesis project and exhibition. Graduates leave prepared for diverse professional opportunities as artists and creative problem-solvers in various fields.
