Purdue University's College of Education offers the Master of Science in Education in Curriculum and Instruction (MSEd) both as a residential (on-campus) and a fully online program. The program prepares educators and curriculum professionals to understand and implement advanced instructional strategies, curriculum theories, educational innovation, multicultural education, and educational research. It offers both thesis and non-thesis paths. The curriculum is grounded in cultural, political, and economic perspectives of education, with strong emphasis on social justice and international issues. Students will complete courses in foundations of curriculum, multicultural education, research in education, and elective focus areas. The online option is designed for working professionals and can be completed in as little as 18 months, while the residential program offers rolling admissions and targeted deadlines for each term.
