Purdue University's Actuarial Science program is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program jointly administered by the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Statistics. Graduates earn degrees in both Actuarial Science and Applied Statistics, with most also completing a minor in Management. The rigorous curriculum integrates mathematics, statistics, economics, and business, and prepares students for the first six Society of Actuaries exams and the first four Casualty Actuarial Society exams, often with opportunities to earn University Earned Credit for these exams. Students benefit from an experiential learning environment, including internships and research, with nearly 100% employment or graduate school placement within six months of graduation. The program also ensures eligibility for all three Society of Actuaries VEEs (Validation by Educational Experience), providing a strong foundation for careers in risk analysis, insurance, finance, and consulting.
