The MPVM program at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine is designed to prepare veterinarians for leadership roles in the management or research of diseases in livestock, poultry, and wildlife globally. The curriculum emphasizes livestock health, food safety, and population-level wildlife health. The program includes a capstone project focusing on a real-world health problem, and requires completion of core courses in epidemiology, biostatistics, research ethics, and graduate seminars, with further electives and research-related coursework. Only holders of a DVM (or equivalent) may apply. The program is STEM-designated (CIP 01.8110) and is non-thesis.
