The Bachelor of Science in Dietetics at the University of Florida, College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, is an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) designed as the foundational undergraduate pathway to professional registration as a dietitian nutritionist. The curriculum includes coursework in nutrition, food science, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, physiology, communication, and management. Students who complete the program and the associated requirements receive a verification statement, which is necessary to apply for an ACEND-accredited dietetic internship. As of 2024, graduates must also obtain a master's degree and complete a dietetic internship of at least 1,000 supervised practice hours to be eligible for the Commission on Dietetic Registration exam. The program is full-time, residential, and cannot be completed online.
