The Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Florida's College of Agricultural and Life Sciences is designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in wildlife ecology, management, and conservation. Students choose between two specializations: Wildlife Ecology and Conservation and Preprofessional. Both tracks combine biological, social, and management sciences, with a curriculum including biology, chemistry, ecology, soil science, plant taxonomy, entomology, geography, zoology, and sustainability. Graduates gain skills to protect diverse wildlife, manage habitats, and address ecological and ethical challenges in conservation. Practical experiences include hands-on fieldwork, research projects, internships, study abroad, and opportunities for professional certification such as The Wildlife Society's Associate Wildlife Biologist.
