The Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages and Literatures (FLL) at the University of Florida’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences prepares students for advanced proficiency in one or two foreign languages, with an in-depth understanding of the cultures, literary traditions, and social contexts associated with their chosen specialization(s). The curriculum offers flexibility for single or dual language tracks and includes interdisciplinary cultural studies. Students develop skills in communication, cultural competence, critical thinking, and analysis, making the major suitable for careers in education, international affairs, diplomacy, translation, journalism, global business, and related fields. Participation in UF study abroad programs is highly encouraged.
