The Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) program at the University of Florida's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences allows high-achieving undergraduates to design a personalized, cross-disciplinary major. Students must work with two faculty advisors from different departments (at least one must be from CLAS) to create a curriculum and research thesis that spans at least two disciplines. The degree requires completion of a senior thesis, substantial upper-division coursework in at least two departments (20+ credits at 3000/4000 level), and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
