The University of Florida College of Nursing's Accelerated BSN Track is designed for students who have already obtained a non-nursing bachelor's degree and wish to become registered nurses. The program builds on previous academic preparation and transitions career-changers into nursing. The curriculum parallels the traditional BSN but is delivered in an intensive, four-semester format across either the Gainesville or UF Health Jacksonville campuses, starting each May. Students undergo full-time academic study, combining didactic, laboratory, simulation, and extensive clinical practice. The program immerses students in diverse healthcare settings and emphasizes evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, patient management, leadership, policy, and community health. Graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
