The MHS in Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is a 9-month intensive academic master’s degree. It provides rigorous training in epidemiologic methods and biostatistics, designed to prepare students for careers in public health, research, or policy. The program requires at least 64 credit units comprising courses in epidemiology, biostatistics, and electives, concluding with a culminating experience. Students can choose between two distinct tracks: the Applied path, emphasizing data use in policy and health interventions, and the Analytic path, specializing in advanced research methods and data analysis for scientific and research audiences. Graduates pursue roles in health departments, government, NGOs, academia, or industry.
