The Master of Health Science (MHS) program in the Department of Population, Family and Reproductive Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is designed to train research scientists and public health professionals to address population health issues across the life cycle, with a focus on maternal, child, and family health. The curriculum emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches, leadership, policy development, program management, practical field experience, and research application. Students engage in coursework covering population health, family and reproductive health, policy, and program evaluation, often culminating in a capstone project or master’s essay with real-world impact.
