The Master of Education in Health Professions (MEHP) at Johns Hopkins University is an internationally recognized, fully online graduate program delivered in partnership with the Schools of Education, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, and Business. It prepares accomplished health professionals—typically those with advanced degrees in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, public health, or related fields—to become interprofessional leaders, educators, and researchers poised to transform health professions education worldwide. The curriculum is 34.5 credits, beginning with an 18-credit core in evidence-based teaching (also available as a stand-alone post-master’s certificate). Fellows then specialize through a 16.5-credit track in Educational Leadership, Research, or a customized combination. Hallmarks include rigorous coursework, asynchronous schedule with synchronous sessions, educator portfolio, and a capstone leadership or research project. The program emphasizes constructive discussion, team projects, and global collaboration in an interactive online community. Completion options enable busy professionals to finish in two years (taking two courses per term) or up to four years (one course per term).
