The Master of Education (MEd) for Teaching Professionals, known as TeachingWell, is a teacher residency program at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Education. It focuses on K-12 STEM instruction with an emphasis on environmental issues and culturally responsive teaching. The program combines evidence-based training, classroom residency in a partner Maryland school, and four years of post-graduation support. Students receive full tuition and a partial living stipend during their studies in exchange for a four-year commitment to teach in a partner school after graduation. The program prepares graduates for certification in select middle and high school mathematics and science fields through rigorous coursework, mentoring, wellness seminars, and ongoing career development support.
