Imperial College London's MSc Genomic Medicine aims to provide rigorous, multi-disciplinary training in all aspects of genomic science and its application to medical research and clinical practice. The curriculum is designed for students from diverse backgrounds including medicine, science, and healthcare. The program uses a blended learning approach—combining face-to-face teaching in London with online modules, live webinars, and self-study. Students complete eight taught modules (six core, two optional) and undertake an extended research project, which may be conducted in a 'wet' or 'dry' lab. The program covers genomics, omics technologies, infectious disease genomics, cancer genomics, bioinformatics, and ethical, legal, and social aspects. Collaborations with the Institute of Cancer Research and Brunel University offer specialized modules. This MSc fulfills requirements from NHS authorities to prepare graduates for the evolving field of genomic medicine.
