MSc Living Planet with Ecological Applications is a specialist programme at Imperial College London’s Faculty of Natural Sciences (Silwood Park campus). This course provides both theoretical and practical training in ecological and evolutionary science, with a focus on applied ecology topics such as agro-ecosystems, invasive species, biocontrol, and ecosystem functioning. Students acquire transferable research skills through core modules, engage in group projects with external partners, and complete an independent research project. The curriculum includes coursework in statistics using R, field and computational skills, and advanced ecological concepts, preparing graduates for careers in applied ecology, conservation, environmental consultancy, or for further research at PhD level.
