The MBBS (Graduate Entry) program at Imperial College London is a four-year medical degree designed for students who already hold an upper second-class (2:1) or above degree in a science or allied healthcare field. This innovative program is delivered in partnership with the University of Cumbria at the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine, with the degree awarded by Imperial College London. The program features early patient contact and is built upon a strong foundation in medical sciences, evidence-informed patient management, and professional development. Students undertake extensive clinical placements across Cumbria, gaining experience in community and secondary care, and develop practical skills, professional values, and research literacy. The final years are focused on preparing students for clinical practice as Foundation Doctors in the NHS, including a pre-foundation assistantship. This program is open only to UK home students and is committed to widening access, with no GCSE or A-level requirements.
